Name Search - Accessed from the Tools Command button, the Name Search tool is capable of finding the name of any equity that is a part of the William O'Neil + Co. Database.
To use this feature, type part or all of the stock's name in the top bar area (where the cursor defaults to) and use the keyboard "Enter" button or click the "Search" button with the mouse cursor. A list of alphabetical names will appear in the display field. The arrow keys, the page keys, and the scroll bar buttons may be used to move through the list of names.
When the desired item is located, its graph can be viewed in on of two ways: double-click the item with the cursor, or highlight the item and click the "Graph" button.
To exit this feature click on the "Close" button or press the "Escape" key on the keyboard.
Note: Company names that begin with abbreviations or letters are found by typing in the first letter of the name and then a space (ex. A T T). The O'Neil stock symbols, especially in the case or foreign or regional exchange stocks, may differ from symbols in other databases.
Line Pen - Selecting this tool allows trend lines to be drawn by the user. Once the Line Pen feature has been selected, choose the point from which the line is to be drawn, hold the mouse button down, and drag the cursor to the other point to which the line is to be drawn. Release the mouse button to finish drawing the line. To exit this feature, select the Line Pen feature again (under Tools) to eliminate the check mark next to the words "Line Pen".
NOTE: Lines created with the Line Pen will not appear when printing from the program.  See Tips & Tricks for suggested applications of this feature.
Hide Data Boxes - Selecting this option will disable the display of the earnings and growth rate boxes in the top left-hand corner of a company graph while in Graphs mode. This feature is helpful when a stock's price line runs into the boxes. To re-enable viewing of the data boxes, simply click on "Hide Data Boxes" again (under Tools) to remove the check mark, and press the "Enter" key.
Show Price-Volume Only - Selecting this tool while in Graph mode will display a chart that contains price and volume information, data boxes, the stock name/ticker, exchange, average volume, volume, price and price change.  To enable this feature, click "Tools" and then click on "Show Price-Volume Only". Enter a company stock symbol and click on "Graph"(F1) or press "Enter" to view the graph. To disable this feature, click on "Show Price-Volume Only" again to eliminate the check mark.

NOTE: The Show Price-Volume Only feature works only while in the Graph mode.

Show Volume in Arithmetic Scale - The default volume scale used for charts in the Graphic mode is Logrthmetic.  To view the volume scale as Arithmetic, simply click this selection.  This feature is active when a check appears next to this item on the Tools menu.

NOTE: The Show Volume in Arithmetic Scale feature works in the Graph mode only.

Change Password - To access the Daily Graphs Online service, an active usercode and password is required.  While the usercode is assigned to a subscriber, the password is determined by the subscriber.  The Change Password Tool allows a subscriber to change their password at anytime.
To use this feature, click on the Change Password selection under the Tools command button to open the Change Password window.  Type in the old and new passwords in the spaces provided. When the "OK" button is selected, the new password will become active and the old password will no longer be valid.  For those who use the "save password" option on the login window, the new password will be automatically inserted.

NOTE: When creating a password , it is recommented that it has at least 5 but no more than 11 alphanumeric characters. In addition, the password field is NOT case-sensitive.
