How often are the Fund Holdings updated?

Funds are currently required to report their holdings to the SEC four times a year, but some release their holdings more frequently to our holdings source, Morningstar Inc. The Daily Graphs Fund Center will reflect the most recent holdings available from our monthly feed from Morningstar. The date of the update is reflected in the upper-right corner of the Holdings page. Remember that many funds, due to their large asset sizes, may take months to build or unload a position.

Why can't I access a particular fund in the Fund Center?

The Fund Center contains listings for all funds on NASDAQ's News Media List. This list comprises funds that have the broadest appeal to the investing public and is the basis for the mutual fund tables found in Investor's Business Daily. Certain funds, more likely to be those that are new or with low net assets, do not yet qualify for the News Media List and are on NASDAQ's Supplemental List. When the funds qualify for the News Media List, they will be added to the Fund Center. If you find that a particular share class of a fund that you are interested in is not available, you may want to try doing a name search for other classes of the same fund.

What is the difference between the Fund Center O'Neil Rank in Category and O'Neil Rank vs. All Funds?

The O'Neil Rank vs. All Funds measures each fund's cumulative total return over the last 36 months and compares it to the returns of all other funds, regardless of Investment Objective. This is the ranking you see in Investor's Business Daily and at the top of the Fund Center's Fund Profile page. On the other hand, the O'Neil Rank in Category measures each fund's cumulative total return over the last 36 months and compares it to the returns of funds with the same Investment Objective.
